How does tracking work at Cargoboard?
You can easily track your shipments via Cargoboard’s shipment tracking. Via the button you will be redirected to our shipment tracking. With the consignment number and the postal code of the consignees, you can easily access information about their consignments.
You will find your shipment number in the order confirmation, on the invoice, on the shipping label and at any time in your customer account.
What is the benefit of tracking?
The term track and trace describes a system that can be used to check the status of a delivery. Likewise, the past transport route can be traced.
Tracking is used at Cargoboard to track packages. In the Cargoboard shipment tracking, for example, you can check where your goods are currently located, when they were picked up and when they are expected to be delivered. With shipment tracking, you as a customer:in certainty about where the shipment is and when it will arrive.
Even for us as a freight forwarder, tracking offers the possibility to monitor a shipment. As a contractor, we can check during the transport at what time the package was at which location and clock the transports accordingly.
How does Cargoboard track my packages for shipment tracking?
In order to track a shipment, each package needs a barcode. A barcode is a machine-readable label consisting of parallel bars and spaces of varying widths. The data is read in automatically at the interfaces using reading devices such as barcode readers (scanners) and processed electronically.
At Cargoboard, after order placement, you will receive a barcode label that you can print and attach to your packages. The barcode is used to uniquely identify the package and allows the location to be recorded at any time.

When will my shipment be delivered? (Delivery notification)
If an appointment for delivery was selected when booking the transport, the delivery date will be coordinated with the recipient(s). The delivery can take place only after a telephone agreement with the recipient. If you wish a prompt delivery, a delivery without appointment should be booked.
When will my goods be picked up? (Pickup notification)
If an appointment for pickup was selected during the transport booking, the pickup date is coordinated with the shippers. So the pickup will be scheduled only after the telephone coordination. If you want your goods to be picked up as soon as possible, book your pickup without making an appointment.

You can find your shipment number:

- in your customer account
How can I inform my customers about the shipment status?
When you send a shipment with Cargoboard, you have the option to select whether the recipient should be informed about the shipment progress by mail.
In your order confirmation you will find a tracking link that allows you to directly check the status of your shipment. You can also forward the link to your customers.

If you are a recipient:expecting a shipment from Cargoboard and want to track the shipment, please contact the sender. This person can forward you the shipment number.
