The booking through our platform
In order to place your shipment on our platform you have to enter your shipment data in the first step and select the shipping method that suits you best.
At this point, it is important that you make the right choice when selecting the packaging material and deposit your dimensions including the packaging.
The choice of means of transport for the transport of car seats
Once you have booked your shipment and received the shipping documents, you can start packing the car seats.
If the total weight including packaging is 30 kg or more, it is necessary to ship the goods on a pallet. At the bottom of this page, you'll find our packaging tips to find out exactly how you should go about it.
The collection of the car seats
For the shipment of the machine, our freight forwarders usually collect the goods from the curb.
For this purpose, it is imperative that shipments weighing 30 kg or more are either accessible from underneath or placed on a pallet for shipping
The delivery of the cars seats
Like the pickup, the delivery of the machine is free curbside. For this purpose, our forwarders unload the shipment at the delivery address and obtain the signature for acceptance.

Premium delivery
With the Premium delivery, the fastest possible delivery date is selected by default. Alternatively, a later delivery date can be selected during offer configuration.
Premium delivery for Europe-wide shipments
If you want a fixed delivery date for a Europe-wide shipment, it is the last day of the specified regular transit time for the premium delivery option.
Premium delivery for groupage freight
If you request a fixed delivery date, we will store your shipments for up to 3 business days free of charge. These are counted from the last business day of the earliest possible term. For each additional business day, we will charge 5€ per pallet space and business day.
Shipping method Direct Loads
When booking a Direct Load, you can look forward to our fastest transport product. In this case, the booked vehicle will make its way to the delivery location immediately and without transshipment.
Shipping car seats: The costs
When you ship car seats with Cargoboard, the cost is highly dependent on various factors such as the particular pickup and destination, as well as factors such as the shipping method and the total weight, length and size. As a rule prices start at about 60 Euros.

Prepare the car seats for shipping
Adequate preparation is crucial to ensure smooth transport. These are the main preparation and packing tips:
- Preparation: Clean the car seat thoroughly before shipping. In this way, you remove contamination. Also check the seat for damage and note it for insurance purposes if necessary.
- Remove detachable parts: Remove all detachable parts of the car seat, such as headrests, armrests or seat belt pads.
- Protective materials: Use materials such as bubble wrap, foam or blankets to protect the car seat during transport. Carefully wrap the seat and make sure that all parts are well padded.
- Suitable packaging: Choose a sturdy packaging that is large enough to hold the car seat securely. A sturdy shipping box or carton with sufficient thickness is recommended. Make sure that the packaging completely encloses the car seat and provides enough space for additional padding.
- Fixing the car seat: Make sure that the car seat is firmly fixed in the package and cannot move before you ship it. Use cushioning material and straps to keep the seat secure and prevent possible damage from movement during transport.
- Closing and labeling the packaging: Securely close the packaging with a sufficient amount of adhesive tape. Clearly mark the packaging with the shipping information or delivery note.
Insure car seats for transport
Note that there is no standard insurance when shipping. When shipping your car seats, only the liability according to the German Freight Forwarders' Standard Terms and Conditions (ADSP) applies in case of damage or loss.
Therefore, we recommend our shipping insurance for expensive products. You can simply add these during the booking process.
