England as an economic area
Compared to other countries, Englands economy is highly deregulated. This means that the government has little to no influence through regulations and norms.
The financial sector is of particular relevance, as London is considered an international financial center with numerous banks and stock markets. Since 2000, there has been a steady decline in the industry as major companies have relocated the company and production base to other countries. Only the export of goods plays a more important role in the countries' overall economy.
The traffic infrastructure of England
The road network of England has a length of about 388,000 km, of which about 3,500 km are freeways. Compared to the rest of Europe, the country does not have many toll roads, but there are a few bridges where you have to pay in order to cross.
There is also an environmental zone in the London area, for which trucks and vans require prior registration. Nowadays, the British peninsula can be reached quite easily through the Eurotunnel.
