Definition and function

We offer our services exclusively for commercial customers, public authorities and companies. Transports on behalf of private individuals are completely excluded.

      What is a despatch/pick-up advice?

A despatch/pick-up advice is the prior announcement of the collection or delivery of a shipment with a freight forwarder. This means that the freight forwarder makes an appointment with the shipper or consignee. This can be done electronically by SMS or e-mail, but also manually by phone.

This allows the recipient of the advice to be prepared for the time of collection or delivery. The normal pickup or delivery notification usually occurs one day after the shipment is collected.

The recipients do not have to speculate when the forwarder will arrive. Instead the forwarder and the consignee agree on a delivery date. For collection or delivery to private customers, we recommend booking an advice. If no one is found on site, the customer will incur costs for a futile journey or a new delivery.

The despatch advice represents the unilateral announcement of the delivery. It usually takes place 30 to 60 minutes before delivery.
