Summer Season – What you should know now

August is just around the corner, bringing with it the traditional summer break across large parts of Southern Europe. Once again this year, plant closures and driving bans in Italy, Spain, Portugal, and France will affect our LTL groupage transports – and, to a lesser extent, our LTL/FTL shipments as well. To help ensure your shipments still reach their destination reliably, we've put together the key dates you need to know. It's also worth keeping an eye on any notices posted on our platform during this period.

Italy

• Last pickup for exports to Italy: 06.08.2026
• First pickup after the break for exports to Italy: 24.08.2026
• Last pickup for imports from Italy: 06.08.2026
• First pickup after the break for imports from Italy: 24.08.2026
• Last pickup for domestic shipments within Italy: 11.08.2026
• First pickup after the break for domestic shipments within Italy: 24.08.2026

Particularly important this year: from 17.08. through 24.08.2026, the network in Italy will be completely closed. Shipments picked up shortly before the closure may therefore not be forwarded in time.
Throughout the entire period from 10.08. to 28.08.2026, we cannot guarantee pickup and delivery dates – please plan for generous time buffers during this window.

Spain / Portugal

• Last pickup for exports: 03.08.2026
• First pickup after the break for exports: 24.08.2026
• Last pickup for imports: 03.08.2026
• First pickup after the break for imports: 24.08.2026
• Domestic transports: available throughout the period, though minor delays may occur

France

• Last pickup for exports to France: 11.08.2026
• First pickup after the break for exports to France: 26.08.2026
• Last pickup for imports from France: 07.08.2026
• First pickup after the break for imports from France: 26.08.2026
• Domestic transports: available throughout the period, though minor delays may occur

Please note: both before and after the official summer break, increased shipment volumes may lead to longer transit times. If you depend on time-critical deliveries, we recommend planning for them well in advance.
